Overview
What PeterOS is, and where the project stands today.
#The idea
PeterOS makes a conversation the home screen of an Android phone. Instead of an app grid, you type a request, speak to Peter, or use a short /command. Peter opens apps, helps with calls and messages, sets alarms, and answers questions using local AI.
The project aims to make spare hardware useful again with a calm black-and-white interface, no advertising, and no subscription requirement.
#First target device
The first proposed device is the Poco M4 5G with 6 GB RAM. The exact variant, device codename, and ROM compatibility still need verification.
#Example commands
These illustrate the planned interaction; they are not available to run yet.
/open whatsapp Open an installed app
/call amma Call a contact
/message arun on my way Prepare a message for confirmation
/alarm 6am Set an alarm
/search train to chennai Request a web search
/settings wifi Open a setting
/play telegram Find an app in the Play Store
/clear Start a new chat
