Privacy and safety

How PeterOS intends to protect you, and what that does not mean.

The goal is to process conversations and voice locally, without sending them to a remote AI service. Peter should request only the permissions needed for its actions, show microphone use clearly, and require unlocking before accessing private information from the lock screen.

• Review messages before sending; calls to unknown numbers need confirmation.
• A visible microphone indicator whenever Peter is listening.
• An on-device activity log you can inspect.
• No camera permission or camera controls in Peter.
